Tribute Gifts

In Honour or In Memory

Recognize a loved one by supporting their charity or cause. We all have family members and friends who are special to us.
Please consider making a tribute gift in honour of or in memory of your loved one.

In Memory Fund

Many families request that relatives and friends make an “In Memoriam” donation when they lose a loved one. It’s a meaningful way to express sympathy to the bereaved family.

Victim Services of York Region will send a card to the bereaved family acknowledging the donor’s thoughtful gesture. The message can be personalized. For income tax purposes, a receipt is also issued to the donor for all donations above $25.00. The amount of the donation is kept strictly confidential.

To establish a “Memorial Fund“, please:
  • Call us at 905-953-5363
  • Email us at victimservices@yrp.ca
  • Please fill out the attached “in memory fund” form and mail it back to VSY (Memoriam Donation Document)
  • Speak with a Funeral Director at a funeral home about distributing In Memoriam donation cards and envelopes, provided by Victim Services of York Region.
